Not a family Refrigerator

This product is for a single person home. I literally don™€™t like being in my kitchen and have to use this refrigerator. It is so tiny there is no room to see everything. I literally have to take stuff out to get to what I need. The shelves have an opening in the back and I constantly have to get the fallen items from behind the shelves. The ice make is poorly placed. It™€™s at the bottom in the freezer. When I open the freezer, if ice hasn™€™t fallen from the ice machine, it shoots out behind the ice tray and shoots out all over the floor. There is no way to tell if ice is in the machine waiting to fall into the ice tray so this happens a lot. This refrigerator is not user friendly. I have had it almost a year and I can™€™t take it anymore. I™€™m having a new one delivered tomorrow.

The doors do not have a sound when left open. Door was open all night. Left door is difficult to close over the right door. Have to open both doors for all the drawers. The ™€˜vents™€™ in the back need space from items or else condensation forms in the electronic read out at top (snow flakes). This gives me less space in an already small refrigerator. I do not like this refrigerator.

This refrigerator is perfect for small kitchens. The storage size is exactly what I needed, the shelves are adjustable and easy to reach. The Temperatire Controlled drawer is a great feature, I store cheese and some meats, the drawer is a perfect size, with most other refrigerators this type of drawer is small. The crisping drawers are great for keeping fruits and vegetables. Temperature is good with steady consistency.

So take a terrible design that makes fitting food in the fridge and make it worse by telling me to keep food away from the center of the fridge? Gotcha. UGH. Truly, hate this thing.

So sorry we purchased this refrigerator! It's like using a miniature appliance. We were misled by the size refrigerator that would fit in our space! It is LOUD -- and runs a LOT!! The doors are very difficult to close. We have to be sure to close the left door 1st then the right or they won't close at all! Having to make sure the doors close properly every time we open them to get something is VERY annoying. And, of course, we were told by Home Depot that once the fridge was left at our house, there is no returning it!!

Salesman on phone very helpful and filter when looking on line found perfect fit when I put in dimensions . Delivery men careful and kind and listened to me . I would recommend this refrigerator replaced a 20 year old Frigidaire still ran but knew it was time .French doors handier and no more bending or kneeling to get items out of the fridge! Very happy

Storage Space not fully utilized by design

Overall utilization of inner space compared with other units by other manufactures is worse. Shelves are shallow and not so deep. Filters and controls use space reducing storage space for food. Accessibility to freezer compartments are not utilized as other units by other manufacturers. HomeDepot didn't offer this unit for viewing before a purchase which didn't allow us to determine all features offred.

Misaligned door handles!

I™€™m still bothered by the fact that the two handles don™€™t line up. The doors appear to be level with each other, but the right side handle is about 1/16™€ higher. It works fine, the doors stay closed and I like it otherwise, but you need some better quality control or something.

Poor configuration,less space than a normal fridge

The French door configuration is not as good as it seems. It is difficult to fit tall items in the fridge. There is less usable space than a standard one door fridge. The drawer freezer is hard to open the top section does not move freely, the ice maker is always in the way.

Good features and warranty

We got this as a replacement as the same model we had for 6 months stopped working as the compressor failed and couldn't be repaired due to the fact there is only one Whirlpool technician in Newfoundland and he's not fully trained to refill it. The technician took 2-3 weeks to come and take a look at it, it's a good thing the store we originally bought it from gave us a loaner (Smiths Furniture in Conception Bay), once we dealt with customer service, about an hour on the phone, it was approved and we received our new refrigerator the next day. So far pleased with the new one.

With a limited rough in and a tight galley kitchen my choices were limited. I wanted to upgrade to a French door refrigerator as well. I am very happy with my choice, being able to see everything at eye level and with the freezer compartments nothing will be buried. The finger proof resistant finish is a plus as is the LED interior lighting especially in the freezer area.

I don™€™t like you HAVE to close left door first. You can close the right but the left will not shut and you can walk away and not realize not totally shut. There is a warning alarm that tells you not shut but doesn go off if door is almost shut.

I have had this refrigerator for 2 weeks and it is performing flawlessly. It is slightly smaller than the one it replaced but has lots of room inside, especially in the doors! On the default settings the ice maker makes ice, the refrigerator refrigerates and the freezer freezes.

When my refrigerator was 2.5 years old it stopped cooling the refrigerator section, the freezer has always worked well. The technician came and had to replace a control board which cost me $500 + dollars. Next week the refrigerator is 3 years old and when I returned from vacation this week I found that the refrigerator is not cooling again. I had to throw away spoiled food as of 09/25 and they cannot send a service technician until 10/01. I cannot believe that the $500 + repair they did has failed already. For decades my mother always purchased Whirlpool appliances and never had trouble with them. I had to replace a $1000 washer after 13 months and now the refrigerator looks like its on its last legs. I would expect a fridge and a washer to last at least 5-10 years but apparently I'm wrong.

Have so much shelf room but adjustable shelf hinges on door do not create enough height between sections. Waiting for PC Richards repair service to replace rubber band around freezer door, one section twisted and very warm to touch. Enjoy having an ice maker especially inside freezer and not on doors. This is the worst refrigerator I™€™ve ever had! I™€™m so dissatisfied- nothing works right and everything is freezing in both veggie bins and the meat drawer! The doors don™€™t shut right and the bell doesn™€™t ring to let u know it™€™s open. The ice falls out all over the floor and in the other section when u open the freezer. The thermometer is reading 40 in the fridge yet freezing the food!! I have thrown a lot out. I hate this fridge and was told I had to wait till sept 11 for service!!™€™

I m loving it. The double refrigerator doors are great and the freezer is what I needed. There's so much room, much better than a top freezer.

Ice maker issues

The ice maker had a factory defect. The technician came three times to fix it and a fourth time I said I don't want this refrigerator anymore, all times I had to clean up the water that was leaking out and I was afraid it would damage my floor. It was a huge headache and a lot of stress. They already took it away so now I am without a refrigerator.
