I love my range, waiting on my griddle

Love the look and functionality of this range! Very powerful burners. Lots of useful options on the oven and the baking drawer is like having a whole second oven! I would give it 5 stars except for 2 things: The top of the range seems very vulnerable to scratches, and secondly I received an email shortly after purchase giving me a code for a free griddle- got all excited about that, but here I am over 2 months later and no griddle ðŸ¤". Not happy about that, KitchenAid.

I haven't tried the oven yet. Not sure what Steam baking is. I would have preferred to have a backsplash instead of a counter level oven, however, I wanted a baking drawer in addition to an oven and this is the only model that provides that according to my salesperson at H&H Appliance. The stove top works well. I ordered the free accessory upon delivery of the oven which is the Griddle but I've yet to receive it.

Poor Quality for Price

Have not been thrilled with this stove since new. Looks nice and easy to clean stove top with removal of grates, but finish on top edge of door is now peeling. Was told it is not covered under warranty when I called KitchenAid to inquire and is a clear defect. There are other reviews that noted it as well. Since I am concerned with food contamination, I ordered a new part to replace it. Have other KitchenAid appliances but this is the last one. Other issues with the stove are: A) it takes a long time for the oven to get to temperature; B) oven temp is not consistent and lower than display; C) oven vents the heat into the kitchen more than expected and there is an internal fan that continues to run after oven is off; and D) stove top burners take forever to boil a pot of water.

I bought this at the end of December. I use the range daily and am satisfied with the results. I don™€™t care for the mini back left burner. I think a medium size would be more useful. The simple design of the top makes it easy to clean. I don™€™t care for the gas oven and wish I™€™d have purchased a dual fuel range. I don™€™t think the oven is as hot as an electric oven. Interesting that excavator are common for just about everything one might buy, but here we are stuck with something that isn™€™t satisfactory.

This range was a replacement for a Whirlpool range. I love the looks and really like the addition of the baking drawer. Compared to my last range this oven works extremely well and the temperature is spot on with my recipes. The locking feature is very easy to turn on and off.

Great working oven but low quality grates

I purchased this oven online and am happy with the oven but the cooktop has been disappointing. The grates started to fade and scratch after two months. Much what is reported by reviewers is true. This stovetop gets minimal use and the griddle looks horrible. The stainless top stains easily & gets water marks. I Wish they would upgrade to a higher quality stainless so you can scrub down with a Brillo pad like my old stove and still look new. I am thinking of buying a new griddle and only use for show when guest come over! The back simmering burner is useless, wish it had a normal burner. The handles on outside are good quality. The knobs look great but they feel like they could break easily. As far as functionality, I haven't had any issues but the front flames needs adjusting as it comes up high.

The simmer setting on all the burners is still a lot of heat, the "simmer" burner itself creates significant carbon build up and pops. The heat shielding on the sides is inefficient and transfers a lot of heat to the surrounding cabinets. After 45 days still haven't received the free skillet pan for the center burner, haven't even heard from customer service regarding it.

The oven stopped working after 6 months and displayed an error code. It was under warranty. It displayed this error code for two weeks, right at christmas (no oven) and just before we were able to get it repaired, the error code went away and everything was fine. A few weeks ago, the oven stopped working and would not heat to more than 290 degrees. Of course it was out of warranty. There was no error indicator. We called our own service tech who was not sure why it did no work and we ended up changing a part that cost us over $300. However, that did not help so I called Whirlpool. The service tech recommended that we change the motherboard $360 part, and after 20 minutes, Whirlpool agreed to send the part. That particular part was on backorder which tells me that there are problems with the stove and they need a lot of these parts. Whirlpool tried to blame covid......as if......Anyway, we replaced the motherboard and the thing still does not work. I am so disappointed in this product. I am throwing it in the garbage and will go spend another $2000 on a different product...I have no faith in Kitchen Aid/Whirlpool products anymore.

We purchased this oven as a replacement for a 20 year old Maytag. We were shocked at the quality of this oven. We thought this would be an upgrade, since the technology and materials have changed so much over time. We found the grates crooked, workers fingerprints in the oven glass, between the interior and exterior pieces that will be there forever! There was an oven rack that was missing and we alerted KitchenAid right away, we got a replacement weeks later that appeared to be used. We spent $3000.00 on an oven and got a rack that was sticky and covered with grease! Not sure if this oven will last as long as the Maytag but definitely disappointing at this point. The display is very cloudy, looks as if the glass that was used for this oven is very dirty! We just purchased this oven in October. Not sure if we got an exception to what we thought would be a quality oven or not. Replaced every appliance with KitchenAid appliances and this is an example of what we got.

Disappointing Range

We purchased this range in early 2021 and have had nothing but problems with it since. Just after the warranty expired (of course) we came home one day from work and found one of the burners on but not lit. We presume that one of our cats bumped the burner knob. We contacted KitchenAid and were told it was an ignitor issue that would be costly to address (it™€™s a knob design issue from what we can tell). We solved the problem by using zip ties around the knobs to prevent from being accidentally turned. Within a couple more months the front power/simmer burner stopped lighting despite the ignitor still functioning. KitchenAid told us it was a problem with our gas supply, not their range. Now we have a short in the electric panel that will cost $950 to fix ($750 for the panel and $200 to install it). We™€™ll be buying a different range as we™€™re not willing to put more money into it. Add to this that feature-wise, the range is poorly designed. The oven drawer is too shallow to hold a roasting, making it completely useless. The supposed steam self-clean does not work at all, as many other reviews have stated. Finally, the finish around the oven door and on the knobs is coming off. We have several other KitchenAid appliances that we™€™re very happy with, but this range was a total disappointment and a waste of money.

Nice looking range. The burner pan is easy to clean. Oven less so. Don't like the "water self-clean". Been using it for six months and the top mounted controls are always covered with splatters. The center grill is aluminum! NOT cast iron! Who thought if that!?! It's worthless. The "second" oven is so shallow it barely cooks or warms a full dinner plate! Very disappointed. Oven cooks well and one rack slides nicely. Doubt I'd buy again.

I bought this product several years ago. The burners have always worked great. It took me several months to realize that the oven did not maintain a steady temperature. I had a repairman out twice and they said there was no problem. The warranty expired. The problem with the oven temperature has only gotten worse. A dish that should take one hour to cook takes 1 1/2 hours. I am very disappointed with it.

After having a gallery stove for 26 years , it™€™s an adjustment. Love the big window in the oven. I wish the small burners were in the front and the knobs feel really cheap. Yay kitchenaid appliances!

Have owned other manufacturers products in the past. This stove is such a pleasure to use. It is also very easy to clean. Haven't owned the stove very long but my baked goods have come out of oven uniformly baked. Appearance is clean lined. Love all 3 of my kitchenaid Appliances

Fets uncomfortably hot on outside when used

Bought range to match other appliances but disappointed in product. The front panel, knobs, and top metal panels all get extremely hot when the range is used over 400 degrees. After about 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees the panels get very hot to the touch (170 degrees) and the knobs get even hotter (180 degrees). I've never had a range do this before but as per service technician and technical support it is 'normal' for these surfaces to be 100 degrees over ambient temperature. The range is good otherwise and is well made, but this design choice makes me regret buying it.

We really like our 5 burner Gas range. It meets all our cooking needs. it easy to operate . We are still waiting for our griddle as promised by the Kitchen Aid company.

Generally love my range, but some issues..

While I love my Kitchen Aid range, the door top film repeatedly peels. The piece was already replaced once, & now it is peeling again, & this is so annoying!!! This range was NOT inexpensive, & I would expect it to last & be more durable. You should replace this piece for free for me.

Looks nice, too bad it doesn't work

Used the oven maybe 5 times, now I'm unable to turn on/use. Been using a toaster oven in its place. The cooktop works great though. I feel like having the touch screen on top is a safety hazard (if you own cats). The error code that pops up when I attempt to use the oven is F8E0.

Great stovetop- poor oven temp

I really like the burners on this oven and the extra cooking racks. I wish the temperature in the oven worked better- it seems to run low- so I have to guess about increased temps and cooking times instead of following all my old recipes.

Steam cleaner is totally non functional, stainless steel cooktop scratches easily with microfiber cloth and largest btu burner continues to remain problematic with ignition start.
