Best Decision We Made in our Kitchen Remodel

My wife had always wanted to switch from electric to gas for the range top. Since we were doing a kitchen renovation this was going to be part of the budget. I hadn't planned to go from the standard 30in width but when I saw this range and the fact that it was made here in the US I couldn't resist. The added cost over a standard range was a lot to swallow but compared to the competition it was very competitive and when the appliance store gave us 0% interest for 1 year it made it bearable. This range has become the center piece in our kitchen as I knew it would and what ultimately drove the decision to purchase. Everything works as it should and I would never go back to electric for the top burners. The electric ovens have worked well also. We get compliments all the time and couldn't imagine what our kitchen would have looked like without it. Amazing how quickly you can bring something to a boil and having the choice for different burner BTUs is also quite convenient. Choose the larger burner to get a pot of water to a boil. Or choose one of the others that has the simmer and keep something warm all afternoon such as some cider spiced to warm you up on a cool afternoon. Some pros and cons for a range this size. This thing is heavy and when we had it delivered the kitchen was not ready for it so we had it put in the garage. When it came time to move it into the kitchen I had a hard time getting someone other than the appliance store to help hoist this thing in. I ultimately paid the appliance store 150.00 to come back out to the house and move it in from the garage to the kitchen. I had brand new hardwood floors and three steps to negotiate and wanted someone to blame if things didn't go as planned. It well with the move but this only brought it to the opening as it would have cost me additional money to actually have them connect the gas line and plug it into the receptacle. My builder took care of that. Two cool things I want to mention that I wasn't expecting. The range has wheels on it to enable you to move it into your cabinet opening and once there you have leveling devices on the front side that allows you to independently adjust each corner to bring it flush with your counter top. A simple wrench to do this and a screw driver to put on the closeout panel along the bottom finishes the job. There are a few things that I would suggest to the design. Have an indicator light when any of the burners are on. One time we forgot that we had a burner on and it was on so low that you didn't really see the flame. Another item that I really wanted was that cool looking blue color that is used in the ovens of some of the other brands as ours is a grey/black and doesn't look as impressive. Just a peeve of mine. Lastly we don't like that the clock doesn't face outwards as we were so use to looking over to the range for the time when sitting in our kitchen. In the grand scheme these last items wouldn't stop me from purchasing the same range again but would surely enhance the experience.

Have had this 48in. 6-Burner range with griddle for about 60 days after getting our home remodeled. The look is unique and gets great admiration from all that visit.
The heat that each different size burner puts out is incredible. It can be controlled to great level of detail. This allows the flexibility to cook whatever you desire at any speed you desire.
The decision to place the display front and center is great visually, it does however have a few setback with everything that can be dropped on it while the whole family is cooking. Not sure if over time the hot/sticky substances dropped on it will eventually lead to the display being ruined.
Our whole family was a bit skeptical about the griddle. Not knowing how it would keep heat evenly and then worried about the clean up and it not looking as nice as it does brand new.
After using it very often and following the simple cleaning instructions, it has become a favorite tool for adults and junior cooks alike. It still looks pristine.
There are a few errors that have popped up on the display, but we have managed through those and all seems to have corrected itself. If the burner caps are not fully and perfectly aligned, you will have a few click noise issues and non lighting issues. I think we have gotten through those.
Overall, good range for the price we paid. We have paired it with a few other Kitchen Aid appliances and may look to add a few more Kitchen Aid elements to our newly remodeled home if the price and functionality is right.

I got this range as a replacement for my very old DCS all gas 48" range. It has the same burners and griddle, two ovens. Thats where the simalairies stop, the duel fuel is the way to go. You have the best of both worlds. Gass cooliing fo rthe stove top and electric for the range. Thr resuilt us perfect cooking control and heat regulation with with everything you cook. the touch screen is easy to navagiate, the stove top is large enough and the griddle is to die for. I highly reccommend this to anyone that likes to cook and gets frustrated with electric stove tops and small ranges.

I have been using this range for over a year. What a a disappointment to have the control panel quit working, disabling the left oven and requiring a new panel to be purchased, as the warranty, of course, has expired. Additionally, the griddle is useless except to use as a warming tray, as it cannot heat to a high enough temperature to cook pancakes. Another annoying feature is the accumulation of steam that drips from the top of the large oven door onto the floor in from of the range when baking a dish that has a high moisture content. I expected performance and reliability commensurate with the price I paid for this "high end" appliance.

We love the look of the range. Overall, we have been happy with it. We do think the griddle takes too long to heat and the touchpad lock does not " lock" everything. When cleaning the touchpad, it will constantly beep at you and the oven light will turn on and off. Other than these things, we have been very happy with the range.

My range is part of an upgraded KitchenAid package I chose for my new home. Not only is it beautiful to look at, but it is one powerful appliance! The large burners boil water faster than any cooktop I've ever had, and the smaller burners are great for keeping things at a slow simmer. The smaller of the two ovens is useful if I just have something small to warm up or cook. The large knobs make everything easy to control. I love all of the features, and still have a few to try. This was a great decision!

We purchased the 48"dual fuel gas range for outr new home recently. I can't say enough about the superb quality of the Kitchen Aid stove. I've alea enjoyed cooking but now that I'm cooking this professional gas stove it has definitely increased my joy of cooking! I now want to use more of the burners rather than microwave a dish! The oven has great features and I especially love the strut cook time that is automatically kept for me in case I forget to start the timer!

This range was purchased for a kitchen remodel, and was installed in October 2018. The small oven on the range has never reached a temperature above 190s degree. To date,February 2019, it has not been repaired. There have been at least 3 service attempts with replaced parts, and multiple technicians without success. It has taken at least 1 month for parts to arrive with each attempt. Do not spend your money on this range. Instead you may want to spend a little more on a more reputable brand. It looks beautiful, but currently does not function.

I'm in love with this oven. I make up excuses so I can use it. I cook and bake a lot anyways and this oven just makes it that much better. It's very easy to clean, I just take the grates off and wipe everything down. The griddle takes a little bit to figure out, but after a few uses it seems to be seasoned and I can easily clean it. I love that I can use either the little or big oven, or both, although I haven't had to use both at the same time yet! The control panel is very easy to use and I fell in love with the bread proofing setting.
There are three things that I don't like about this oven but they are very minor.
1. The control panel is directly in front of the burners. This means that any frying, boiling, etc. that you do that splatters anything is going to get on this control panel. The worst is grease, it's a pain to wipe off because it always seems to leave a film.
2. This is directly related to number one. If you don't hit the control lock on the panel before you clean then all the buttons go off and you risk having an error message. This is minor and more my fault, but still.
3. I have 3 cats and 2 kids, so I have to remember all the time to hit the panel lock button. Otherwise the cats can potentially jump up there at night and hit the buttons, or the kids during the day. Is it likely? No, but anything can potentially happen. I wish the panel was in a different spot.
These issues are not a deal breaker and I absolutely love this stove.

We have owned this for almost a year now. Love the cooktops and dual ovens. We use the small oven more than I would have guessed.
Downsides of this range include griddle takes forever to heat up, oven is loud (fans) and they dump a lot of moisture when opening the doors.

This was included in our home build package and we are thrilled! It has 6 burners, two of which have additional simmer settings. There is also one "keep warm" burner. We love having two ovens. The smaller one is perfect for small meals but is a fully functional oven. Having two makes holiday cooking a breeze. The unit is stunning! We get lots of oohs and has over it. One thing we would change is the display. It is user friendly and close t where irs needed but because it's close to cooktop it gets splattered on. It's hard not to activate the oven settings when wiping it down. Wish there was a lock feature in the display for that purpose. The oven temps are right in. The burners run hot so low works for a lot of things. The griddle we haven't tried yet but it looks amazing.

The oven with plug in sensor for temperature cooking is perfect!!!!!! Dual fuel oven is perfect... now the griddle is HORRIBLE poor engineering what dummy made it chrome. What it should have been is teflon that way u don't have to wait for it to get up to temp. Other reason we bought this unit is we got the friends and family discount.

How can a $9,000 range go bad in 2 years??? I have appliance coverage through Consumers Energy and the tech cannot figure out the issue. First the digital controller froze and went bad, now that it was replaced, the ovens will not heat past 200 degrees. Kitchenaid recently sent us an option to extend the warranty for roughly $500, but after explaining the situation, they told us that they could no longer offer the warranty. We are going on 2 months now with the issue unresolved. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand.

This was something I saved up for when building our new house. Put this range in our brand new home and I love it. It's very powerful so there was a learning curve...meaning I burnt stuff. The only dissatisfaction I have is the 2 inch gap in the back. I've yet to find a piece that will fill this. I have a beautiful tile backsplash and I don't want anything that has height. You will never be disappointed in this stove. If you use the griddle correctly it's amazing as well

The griddle is 100% trash non-usable takes 45 minutes to heat and everything sticks to it. After the first time you use it it is not even pretty to look at hard to clean. I read a review of another customer that had similar problems I saw the response that KitchenAid had. So spare me the response KitchenAid no apologies needed specially if you're not going to do anything about it meanwhile I will make sure on social media and every outlet out there I will make sure to spread the word no one else needs to go through this experience.

I have had this range for 3 years now, although it has many nice features it has one big fault the oven vents out the front. this makes the kitchen unacceptably hot, even with the vent hood on high. In south Florida the ovens are unusable for 6 to 8 months a year. I would NOT recommend this for anyone in the South.

I just got it a couple weeks ago and so far it's been great! The controls are easy to use and navigate. The oven cooks so evenly! My homemade bread cooks as evenly and beautifully as my chicken cordon bleu as did my chocolate chip cookies! The gas stove has so much power! Everything heats up quickly and boiling water is fast! We built a new house and I absolutely love to bake. The one feature I insisted on was a great stove that I would love. I did lots of research and this is the stove I chose. I have not been disappointed. My neighbors love it too since they have been the recipients of some great desserts.

My husband surprised me with this range. I enjoy the convection in both ovens and the space on the cook top. As you can see in the pictures, I have a 15" and a 13" skillet plus a 2 quart tea kettle on the top with plenty of room to spare. I cook for 6 people every day and it is wonderful to have all the options. The simmer burner is perfect for melting butter and the small oven is my go to for bread proofing. A hint for cleaning is to lock the control so you don't accidentally change your oven settings, oops, learned that one the hard way. I do wonder why the cook top area is black and not stainless, but it works, so I won't complain. I can get up to 6 9x13 pans in the large oven which is awesome for family dinners. The only thing that I would like changed is the alert sounds. If you are not in the kitchen you can not hear them even when they are set on loud. Thank you for such a quality product!

This is a beautiful appliance. I haven't actually used it yet, we are still under construction. I can't wait to start cooking and baking. I am disappointed in the fact that kitchenaid does not make an island trim kit for this appliance. I am going to have to have a custom made island trim made which is going to cost me a pretty penny. Disappointed when we spent so much on the actual unit but cant purchase the "finishes" for this appliance. For that reason i rated this appliance a 3.

The dual burners with simmer function are a very useful feature. The controls are nicely laid out and easy to understand. The oven rockets up to temperature and stays steady. The only downside is the griddle takes a very long time to heat up. Not worth knocking a star off though. I'm looking forward to many delicious meals.

Great range - very hot burners - had to adjust my way of thinking. Griddle and ovens do take time pre-heat, but again just needed to adjust to it when timing meal prep. The style is beautiful and I get a lot of compliments.
